    The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:


    We are seeking a Software Developer to support the development, enhancement, and deployment of mission-critical applications hosted on the cloud. In this role, you will contribute to the modernization of existing applications, drive new development initiatives, and ensure seamless production deployments. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

    What You Will Do


    • Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud-hosted applications to meet business and technical requirements.
    • Implement and manage REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Java.
    • Develop user interfaces utilizing JavaScript frameworks such as JSP, Knockout, and jQuery.
    • Perform database design, development, and optimization using Oracle DB.
    • Apply Eclipse Link JPA for data persistence and manage version control using Subversion (SVN).
    • Utilize JWT and YAML for secure data handling and configuration management.
    • Write and maintain scripts using Shell and PowerShell for automation and operational tasks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ability to interact with functional resources and explain complex technical concepts in a business-like manner.
    • Occasional travel may be required to support business needs.

    Qualifications You Must Have


    • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
    • 5 years of experience with REST API design and implementation with 4 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks, including JSP, Knockout, and jQuery.
    • 3 years of experience working with Oracle DB and Eclipse Link JPA with scripting experience with Shell and PowerShell with Experience in Spring Boot and Java development.
    • Proficiency in version control systems such as Subversion (SVN).
    • Experience with JWT and YAML for secure data handling and configuration with the ability to interact with functional resources and explain complex technical concepts in a business-like manner.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Experience with MAVEN for project management and build automation and knowledge of SOLR/Lucene for search functionality and indexing.
    • Familiarity with browser security concepts and best practices.
    • Experience with Maria DB for database management and proficiency in JUnit for unit testing.
    • Knowledge of Angular for front-end development.
    • Experience with Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD pipelines.

    The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
