Job Summary:The Senior Director, Field Sales is responsible for driving statewide membership growth and achieving enrollment targets across Medicare, DSNP, and related product lines. This position leads the development and execution of local sales strategies in alignment with business goals, operational priorities, and compliance requirements, oversees field sales, broker, and business development functions, and builds strong provider, broker, and community relationships to expand market presence and generate sustainable growth.
Essential Functions:- Develop and execute statewide sales and membership growth strategies to achieve enrollment and market share goals across Ohio product lines.
- Lead and develop high performing sales leadership teams responsible for captive Field Sales, Broker channel growth, and Business Development function.
- Drive accountability for total state membership performance, including achievement of sales goals and membership targets through both owned and influenced channels.
- Oversee and establish a Business Development function responsible for cultivating sustainable referral relationships that generate recurring lead volume and enrollment opportunities through Provider and Community partners
- Partner with telephonic sales operations to support field assignment, lead management, and market level enrollment performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local providers, health systems, community organizations, advocacy groups, brokers, FMOs, and key market influencers.
- Partner closely with local market leadership, including the Market President, to support membership reporting, growth planning, market analytics, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Compliance to ensure adherence to CMS, state, and organizational regulatory requirements across all sales and marketing activities.
- Support annual bid development through providing local market insights related to competitive positioning, benefit design, and member needs.
- Analyze market trends, sales performance, referral activity, and competitive intelligence to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic adjustments needed to achieve growth goals.
- Ensure effective use of CRM tools, reporting standards, forecasting processes, and territory management practices to support accountability and operational visibility.
- Perform any other job related duties as requested.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Services, Marketing or related field required required
- Master's degree preferred
- Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
- Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare or managed care, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role, is required
- Experience leading Medicare Advantage, DSNP, Medicaid, or managed care sales organizations required
- Experience building detailed Sales plans required
- Experience in consultative selling in complex decision making processes preferred
Licensure and Certification:- Current, unrestricted State Insurance license in Accident and Health in state of practice within state(s) of assigned territory is /are required or ability to achieve license(s) within 90 days of hire
- Must have valid driver's license, vehicle and verifiable insurance. Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver’s license record check. If the driver’s license record results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if employee has started employment in position, employment in this position will be terminated

CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 – March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Compensation Range:
$135,600.00 - $237,400.00

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
