    Job Description

    The Independent Agency Book Transfer & Conversion Specialist is responsible for executing insurance book-of-business transfers for assigned independent agencies. This role manages defined transfer & conversion initiatives from planning through stabilization, ensuring accurate execution, policy conversion, and minimal disruption. The role operates within established guidelines and does not own underwriting, pricing, or long-term portfolio profitability.

    Key Responsibilities

    Book Transfer & Conversion Execution

    • Manage and executes assigned agency book transfer and conversion initiatives
    • Execute conversion timelines and sequencing for assigned books
    • Supports and executes conversion of transferred quotes into bound policies

    Agent Partnership & Change Management

    • Act as a primary point of contact for agencies during assigned conversions
    • Provide guidance on conversion steps, workflows, and documentation
    • Escalate issues or risks as needed

    Retention & Portfolio Optimization

    • Monitor conversion progress and quote-to-policy outcomes
    • Support retention efforts during carrier transitions
    • Identify conversion challenges and recommend corrective actions

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, Operations, and Technology teams
    • Support data migration, policy issuance, and renewal timing activities

    Data, Reporting & Risk Oversight

    • Track conversion metrics for assigned initiatives
    • Maintain accurate reporting and provide status updates
    • Flag risks or performance issues

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience working with independent agencies or agency operations
    • Working knowledge of P&C insurance products
    • Ability to sell and overcome objections
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Prior book transfer and conversion experience desired

    Education

    • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

    Experience

    • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • This job does not have supervisory duties.

    • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Compensation

    Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience and qualifications
