    Sales Account Manager – Coatings

    Summary:

    The Sales Account Manager is responsible for leading commercial engagement across a defined portfolio of strategic accounts. This role drives growth, customer satisfaction, and value creation through deep relationship management, technical understanding, and cross-functional collaboration. The manager executes account strategies, influences commercial decisions, and contributes to business planning.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Account Management & Growth

    • Manage commercial activities for assigned strategic accounts
    • Identify growth opportunities and lead solution development
    • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders

    Technical & Commercial Execution

    • Translate customer needs into actionable commercial strategies
    • Coordinate internal resources to deliver differentiated offerings
    • Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations

    Forecasting & Performance Tracking

    • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline data
    • Monitor account performance and drive profitability
    • Contribute to business reviews and strategic planning

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Technical, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams
    • Share customer insights to inform product and service improvements
    • Support cross-functional initiatives and knowledge sharing

    Leadership & Influence

    • Mentor junior sales team members and share best practices
    • Represent sales in internal forums and customer engagements
    • Contribute to segment-level strategy and capability development

    Qualifications:

    The following are required for the role

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other non-technical field with at least 7+ years of commercial experience in coatings; or bachelor’s degree in chemical or materials engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of commercial experience. 
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills 
    • Fluency in English and Portuguese required 
    • Availability for travel: Up to 50%, primarily within Brazil, and up to 20% to other LATAM countries. 

    The following are preferred for the role: 

    • Experience in global, local or multi-site account management 
    • Familiarity with CRM tools, forecasting systems, and commercial analytics, such as SFA and SAP 
    • Experience on industrial coatings for packaging labels. 
    • Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) 
    • Spanish proficiency is a plus for engaging multinational clients and supporting regional account activities
