Supply Planner

Neogen Corporation is seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing product replenishment and developing supply plans through the review of forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock, and production requirements for both purchased and manufactured goods.

As a key connection between supply and demand, the Supply Planner serves as a primary point of contact across Manufacturing, Production, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Laboratory, and other business functions. This position plays an important role in ensuring supply plans remain aligned with customer demand, production capabilities, inventory targets, and overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who is comfortable working with ERP and planning systems, analyzing inventory and supply needs, and communicating across multiple levels of the organization.

Location: This position is remote with possible travel.

What You'll Do

As a Supply Planner, you will:

• Create and maintain supply plans utilizing ERP and applicable supply chain planning systems.
• Establish, maintain, and implement planning parameters within ERP and supply planning systems to support business and inventory requirements.
• Review forecasts, inventory levels, safety stock, production capabilities, and other relevant data to develop effective replenishment plans.
• Utilize ERP and supply chain tools to support targeted customer service levels while maintaining appropriate finished goods inventory.
• Manage purchase orders for buy/sell finished goods and coordinate replenishment activities as needed.
• Execute established supply planning processes and standard work while supporting adherence to key planning metrics.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Production, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Laboratory, and other business functions to align supply plans with operational and customer needs.
• Develop both short- and long-term supply plans to balance supply and demand while supporting customer requirements.
• Support capacity planning, demand and supply synchronization, and execution against strategic business objectives.
• Establish and maintain appropriate stock and safety-stock levels while proactively working to prevent excess and obsolete inventory.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service levels, inventory turns, inventory health, and overall supply chain performance.
• Monitor inventory availability and backorders, identifying potential supply constraints and escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Communicate inventory status, backorder levels, supply risks, and planning priorities clearly and effectively across varying levels of the organization.
• Analyze supply and inventory trends and recommend actions that support sustainable operational improvements.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Planning, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant education and professional experience will also be considered.
• 2 or more years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, logistics, production planning, purchasing, or a related supply chain function preferred.
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or other supply chain planning systems preferred.
• Ability to analyze forecasts, inventory levels, supply requirements, and related planning data.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing business needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and organizational levels.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to use available information to make timely, well-informed decisions.
