We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Support Engineer specializing in SAP FICO (Finance, Controlling & Product Costing)to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote role and can be based anywhere in the United States. The Sr. Support Engineer will report directly to the Regional Manager, SAP Delivery.
Position Summary
Rimini Street is seeking a Sr. Support Engineer – SAP FICO with deep expertise in Controlling (CO), particularly Product Costing and Material Ledger, to support complex, global SAP environments.
This role is part of our global support team and is responsible for delivering hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and client-facing support for mission-critical SAP applications. The ideal candidate combines strong functional and technical capabilities and thrives in diagnosing and resolving complex financial and controlling issues in live production systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expert-level support for SAP FICO, with strong emphasis on:
Product Costing (CO-PC)
Material Ledger
Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting
CO-PA (Profitability Analysis)
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including:
Month-end close and controlling processes
Costing and variance analysis
Cross-module integrations (FI, MM, SD, PS)
Perform root cause analysis in highly customized SAP environments
Support SAP Project Systems (PS), including:
WBS structures
Project cost integration
Work directly with clients to:
Diagnose issues
Provide clear, actionable solutions
Deliver a high-quality customer experience
Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., ABAP, integrations) to resolve defects
Develop and deliver application fixes and data corrections
Support global customers in a 24x7 support model, ensuring SLA adherence
Contribute to knowledge management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on FICO, particularly Controlling (CO)
Strong working knowledge of standard SAP FI operations (GL, AP, AR) to support integration with CO
Deep hands-on expertise (mandatory):
Product Costing (CO-PC)
Material Ledger
Proven experience troubleshooting:
Month-end close issues
Costing variances and settlement processes
Strong understanding of:
CO-FI integration
Cross-functional processes (MM, SD, PS)
Hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) configuration
Experience working in production support environments
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, including ability to debug complex issues
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a global, virtual team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA
Exposure to:
FSCM / Treasury
Asset Accounting (with understanding of financial impact)
ABAP debugging or strong collaboration with development teams
Experience in global or multi-country SAP environments

Compensation
The current salary range remains aligned for this role.
Given the level of expertise required, candidates are expected to fall toward the higher end of the band, with flexibility on secondary skill areas where appropriate.

Compensation is based on role, location, and level of applicable experience.
Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.
The general salary range for this type of role is 120k - 190k depending on skills and experience.
