    Job Details

The Digital Marketing Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the “process health” of the Enterprise portfolio and supporting the Design, Experience and Optimization (DXO) team, including Brand and Creative, to ensure innovative, value-driven work is delivered on time and within budget. This role is essential to executing initiatives and operational processes while driving clear, consistent communication with stakeholders.

By applying program and project management best practices and fostering cross-functional collaboration, the Digital Marketing Project Manager enhances overall team performance, advances stakeholder communications, manages key initiatives, and helps cultivate a positive, high-accountability team culture. The role leverages strategic tools and reporting to enable efficient execution of roadmaps, objectives, and key results (OKRs), with disciplined budget and timeline management.

The Digital Marketing Project Manager proactively identifies and mitigates risks, removes blockers, and ensures key partners remain informed and engaged. This strategic, execution-focused approach supports successful outcomes and positions the team for excellence in a competitive environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery for multiple concurrent, multi-month initiatives across the Enterprise portfolio.
    • Build and maintain project plans, milestones, workback schedules, and delivery forecasts; ensure plans remain current and actionable.
    • Monitor and control scope, schedule, and quality; proactively mitigate risks and resolve issues to keep delivery on track.
    • Track and manage deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and change impacts; escalate proactively when timelines, scope, or quality are at risk.
    • Negotiate timelines, resourcing, and scope as needed to support project success.
    • Lead task and backlog grooming to clarify work items, validate acceptance criteria, identify gaps, and ensure readiness for upcoming cycles.
    • Manage dependencies, adjust due dates, and reassign work as needed to maintain a real-time view of execution and delivery health.
    • Drive follow-through with team members and stakeholders to remove blockers, obtain inputs, and maintain momentum.
    • Serve as the day-to-day coordination point across global, cross-functional partners to enable timely decisions and clear status visibility.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaboration; proactively address concerns, resolve obstacles, and maintain alignment.
    • Run working sessions as needed and provide clear, concise updates for leadership and stakeholders (progress, risks, changes, decisions needed, next steps).
    • Define and communicate project success metrics to support transparency, alignment, and stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Establish and enforce “project hygiene” standards (status updates, task ownership, documentation, dependency tracking).
    • Maintain accurate project data and reporting to provide a single source of truth for scope, schedule, resourcing, and overall project health.
    • Support intake, prioritization, forecasting, and capacity planning in partnership with team leadership.
    • Identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives (workflows, templates, governance) to increase throughput and predictability over time.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement by ensuring the team has the resources, information, and procedures needed to operate effectively.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Cencora’s business operations; navigate cross-departmental initiatives effectively.
    • Represent the customer and stakeholder perspective throughout project delivery to ensure outcomes meet business needs.

    .

    Work experience:

    • 8 years of experience in digital program or project management, or a related business field, ideally within a marketing or enterprise organization environment.
    • Strong understanding of digital project management principles, fundamentals, and methodologies.
    • Solid grasp of digital experience, marketing principles, and strategies.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Proficiency with digital project management tools and software, including Smartsheet, Adobe Workfront, and Microsoft 365 Product Suite.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
    • Familiarity with healthcare solutions is a plus.
    • Ability to focus on multiple digital programs and projects, with flexibility to reprioritize as needed.
    • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities, with sound judgment for escalating issues as appropriate.
    • Collaborative, low-ego mindset with a positive attitude and openness, influencing team members to take accountability for their responsibilities.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent business experience may also be considered. No specific field of study is mandated.

    Skills and knowledge:

    • Independent and proactive: moves work forward without waiting for direction; anticipates needs and risks.
    • Firm and accountable: comfortable being direct, following up persistently, and holding owners to commitments.
    • Execution-first: prioritizes delivery, keeps tasks clean, and ensures next steps are always clear.
    • Highly organized multi-tasker: can manage many moving parts, timelines, and dependencies with accuracy.
    • Motivated and resilient: maintains momentum in complex, multi-month initiatives with shifting priorities.
