    Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and evaluate Veterans Administration (VA) claim payments using EnableComp’s proprietary software, systems and tools. Use payment documentation provided by payers to determine if the medical provider has been reimbursed in compliance with the applicable state fee schedule.
  2. Research, request and acquire all pertinent medical records and any other supporting documentation necessary and then submit with hospital claims to the Veterans Administration or TriWest to ensure prompt correct claims reimbursement.
  3. Conduct timely and thorough telephone follow-up with payers to ensure claims with supporting documentation have been received and facilitate prompt reimbursement.
  4. Prepare correct Veterans Administration initial bill packet or appeal letter using EnableComp systems tools and submit with all necessary supporting documentation to insurance companies
  5. Other duties as required.
  6. Requirements and Qualifications
  7. High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  8. 2-4+ years’ experience in healthcare field working in billing or collections.
  9. 2+ years’ client facing/customer services experience.
  10. 1+ years’ experience with VA billing and collections required. Other complex claims experience a plus.
  11. Intermediate level understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and subsequent data requirements.
  12. Intermediate level understanding of government and veteran benefit programs.
  13. Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  14. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  27. Occasionally moves about inside the office to access office equipment, etc.
  28. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy/scan/print machine, phone and computer.
