    The Senior Product Manager on the Personal Wealth team owns the money movement platform that powers how funds enter, exit, and move within Empower. This includes core capabilities such as Mobile Check Capture, Instant Account Verification (IAV), ACATS transfers, 401(k) to IRA rollovers, and GIAC, as well as the underlying orchestration, reliability, and compliance layers that make these experiences seamless and trusted. 

    You will be responsible for building durable, scalable infrastructure and experiences that enable fast, secure, and compliant movement of money across accounts and products. Your work directly impacts funding rates, time-to-fund, operational efficiency, and customer trust. 

    You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, operations, and compliance, ensuring our money movement capabilities are best-in-class and extensible across all current and future wealth experiences. 

    Money movement is the backbone of the Personal Wealth experience. If customers cannot easily and confidently move their money, nothing else matters. This role ensures that every dollar moves quickly, safely, and predictably, unlocking growth across the entire platform while building long-term customer trust. 

    What you will do 

    • Own the end-to-end money movement platform, including external funding (IAV, ACATS, mobile check, rollovers) and internal transfers 

    • Define and evolve the platform strategy for how money moves into and within Empower 

    • Drive improvements in speed, success rates, cost, and reliability of all transfer methods 

    • Partner with engineering to design scalable, reusable services and APIs for money movement 

    • Work closely with operations and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment and operational excellence 

    • Identify and resolve failure points across the transfer lifecycle (drop-offs, rejects, delays) 

    • Translate complex financial workflows into simple, intuitive user experiences 

    • Coordinate with external vendors and partners (aggregation, verification, custodians) 

    • Build a measurement framework across funding funnels, including time-to-fund, completion rates, and error rates 

    • Prioritize platform investments vs. experience improvements with clear tradeoffs 

    • Lead cross-functional execution across product, design, engineering, legal, and operations 

    What you will bring 

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

    • 7+ years of experience leading major (digital) direct-to-consumer products and working collaboratively with engineering, design, and research teams 

    • Exceptional prioritization and stakeholder management skills, particularly working with compliance/legal partners in a highly regulated industry 

    • Excellent communication skills, storytelling, and organizational skills that instills confidence in senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and peers 

    • Relentless follow through and commitment to do the right through and do what you say 

    • Detail and design oriented; the details really matter to you 

    • Passionate about tackling complicated and impactful customer and business problems 

    • Critical, analytical thinker and comfortable analyzing data and pulling out key insights 

    • Proven track record of navigating through the full product life cycle, integrating customer feedback in requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execute 

    • Experience in the fintech industry with demonstratable knowledge of industry best practices

    What will set you apart 

    • MBA is a plus 

    • Product management experience owning platforms or infrastructure-heavy domains 

    • Experience with payments, fintech, banking, or brokerage systems (strongly preferred) 

    • Deep understanding of money movement mechanics (ACH, ACATS, rollovers, verification) 

    • Ability to work closely with engineers on technical system design and tradeoffs 

    • Strong operational mindset with focus on accuracy, reliability, and compliance 

    • Experience improving conversion and throughput in complex workflows 

    • Comfort working across external partners and vendors 

    • Strong prioritization skills across competing platform and experience needs

    Base Salary Range

    $114,000.00 - $165,300.00

    The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
