    The Brokerage Analyst supports the Truckload Operations Manager in the day-to-day execution, coordination, and performance management of truckload operations. This position is responsible for dispatching truckload freight, maintaining operational boards and systems, communicating with brokers and contractors, and ensuring loads are executed efficiently, compliantly, and profitably.
    The role serves as a key operational bridge between dispatch, contractors, brokers, and management, handling real-time issues while supporting reporting, tracking, margin oversight, contractor utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Dispatcher Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Dispatch and coordinate truckload freight to approved contractors and broker carriers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance.
  2. Assign loads based on contractor capacity, service requirements, compliance considerations, contractor performance history, and cost efficiency.
  3. Monitor all active loads for service risks, delays, missed appointments, equipment issues, detention, layovers, rate discrepancies, compliance concerns, or other service-impacting events, and take corrective action as needed.
  4. Maintain and manage truckload operational boards and tracking systems, ensuring real-time accuracy of load status, assignments, pickup and delivery times, rates, service notes, and completion status.
  5. Track, document, and validate load execution details, service outcomes, service failures, cost overruns, margin-impacting events, and operational exceptions.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for truckload execution, fielding inbound and outbound communication from brokers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  7. Communicate proactively with brokers and contractors to provide service updates, resolve execution issues, and manage service exceptions.
  8. Investigate and assist in resolving freight discrepancies, including detention, layovers, missed appointments, service failures, freight claims, billing variances, and documentation support.
  9. Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to the Truckload Operations Manager with clear context, supporting documentation, and recommended next steps.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT requirements, and customer service standards during all load execution activities.
  11. Monitor broker utilization and contractor performance to support efficient capacity usage, reduction of empty miles, and overall service reliability.
  12. Compile and analyze performance reporting, including volume, margin, service metrics, contractor utilization, and cost controls; identify service risks and performance trends; and support KPI reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives related to contractor and broker operations.
  13. Collaborate with dispatch, warehouse, customer teams, operations, and leadership to align execution timelines and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  14. Support updates to operational boards, tracking tools, documentation standards, and standard operating procedures as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
  16. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements:
  17. Strong understanding of truckload transportation operations, dispatch processes, carrier capacity management, and broker execution workflows.
  18. Working knowledge of load lifecycle management, including dispatch, in-transit monitoring, delivery confirmation, billing validation, and closeout procedures.
  19. Ability to manage real-time execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  20. Strong verbal and written communication skills with brokers, contractors, internal stakeholders, and leadership.
  21. Ability to professionally manage service exceptions, escalation scenarios, and operational issue resolution.
  22. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, assess margin impact, and recognize service or utilization risks.
  23. High level of attention to detail and operational accuracy, particularly related to load documentation, rate verification, and system updates.
  24. Ability to identify recurring service issues and contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  25. Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, transportation management systems, load tracking platforms, and operational reporting tools.
  26. Ability to maintain accurate real-time operational boards and tracking systems.
  27. Understanding of DOT compliance standards and transportation service requirements.
  28. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation for freight claims, billing disputes, and compliance reviews.
  29. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support delivery operations.
  30. Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses Requirements:
  31. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
  32. 2 to 4 years of experience in truckload operations, dispatch, brokerage support, carrier management, or transportation coordination required.
