    About the Role

    Lyra Health is looking for an accomplished clinical leader with proven expertise and commitment to evidence-based, culturally responsive care, clinical quality assurance, and the development of high-performing teams. This individual will serve as a key clinical leader for Lyra’s Outpatient Pediatric Service, providing direct oversight of a section of prescribing providers. A critical function is contributing to the clinical vision and quality strategy to uphold the highest standards for care.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates a profound commitment to clinical quality assurance and culturally responsive care, and possesses substantial experience in the administrative and clinical management of licensed independent providers.

    This position reports directly to the Medical Director of Pediatric Outpatient Services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Lead Psychiatrist will be responsible for a combination of clinical leadership, management, and direct patient care:

  1. Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance:

  2. Ensure all care delivered across the team is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and outcomes-driven

  3. Monitor and analyze clinical quality and performance metrics

  4. Participate in the development and enhancement of clinical training materials

  5. Provide consultation to supervisors and managers on clinical and administrative matters

  6. Administration & Supervision:

  7. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process for psychiatric providers

  8. Provide administrative supervision and mentorship to licensed independent providers

  9. Offer performance feedback and address disciplinary concerns for psychiatric providers

  10. Direct Patient Care:

  11. Maintain a small personal caseload of clients

  12. Provide direct patient care across both health plan and health system settings

  13. Engage in collaborative care, offering expert consultation to primary care physicians regarding evidence-based mental health medication management

  14. Strategic Contribution:

  15. Contribute to company-wide initiatives focused on innovation and growth

  16. Required Qualifications:
  17. MD or DO degree

  18. ABPN Board Certification in Child Psychiatry

  19. Current unrestricted license to practice medicine within the United States (priority given for IMLC licensure, IMLC issuing states, and states prioritized based on operational needs)

  20. Minimum of two years of experience in management and administrative supervision of licensed independent providers

  21. Demonstrated commitment to collaborative mental health care and direct patient care

  22. Grounded in cultural humility with a deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and culturally responsive care

  23. Proven experience overseeing clinical quality

  24. Experience leading and managing clinical teams

  25. Experience with Virtual Care and telepsychiatry platforms, demonstrating comfort and proficiency in remote care settings

  26. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
