RTX launched oneRTX focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity, and performance. The oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) project is one of several major, multi-year initiatives under oneRTX that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, how we operate and how we deliver to our customers so that we can achieve our full potential.
The intent of oneRTX: PST is to harmonize processes, tools, and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S/4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities. With processes optimized and harmonized, we can leverage our scale so teams across RTX can share resources, leverage talent seamlessly and identify efficiencies. We will reduce cost and effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working.
RTX is seeking an experienced AI Portfolio Lead to join our Digital Technology Strategy, Architecture & Platform team.
What You Will Do
As the AI Portfolio Lead, you will be responsible for developing and managing the portfolio of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation solutions that accelerate value across the PST transformation. In this role, you will shape how RTX leverages AI to streamline processes, enhance data quality and visibility, support SAP S/4HANA adoption, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will partner closely with digital product teams, process owners, data governance leaders, enterprise architects, and system integrators to identify opportunities, define use cases, prioritize investments, and ensure responsible and scalable AI implementation.
You will establish a governed intake and evaluation framework; lead business case development; develop metrics to quantify realized business impact; maintain transparency around capacity, progress, and dependencies; and ensure the AI portfolio aligns with PST’s transformation objectives. Your day-to-day work will involve translating strategy into actionable roadmaps, enabling disciplined ways of working, championing reuse across the enterprise, and ensuring delivery teams have clarity on requirements and success criteria. You will play a critical role in building a sustainable acceleration engine for the entire transformation program.
Shape the strategic vision and roadmap for AI within one of RTX’s most critical enterprise initiatives
Lead the identification and development of high-impact AI solutions that transform business processes
Work with exceptional leaders, architects, data experts, and product teams across RTX businesses
Develop repeatable frameworks and standards for AI adoption at enterprise scale
Direct how business value is measured and communicated for AI-enabled capabilities
Influence enterprise decision making through portfolio insights and metrics
Contribute to a long-term transformation program with visibility across RTX
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
8+ years of experience in technology strategy, product management, AI/ML initiatives, enterprise transformation, or related domains
Demonstrated expertise in managing digital, analytics, or AI solutions with working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, automation technologies, and data lifecycle management.
Background in translating technical concepts into actionable business outcomes for senior leadership including the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and navigate complex and highly regulated environments
Qualifications We Prefer
Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field
Experience supporting large-scale SAP S/4HANA or global ERP transformations or implementations
Background in aerospace & defense
Excellent communication, facilitation, and narrative‑building skills
Understanding of AI governance, risk, model lifecycle management, responsible AI practices, agile portfolio management methodologies and tools, as well as exposure to enterprise data strategy, data products, and data architecture

Role Type: Remote
This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
