    This is a fully remote role supporting our GMP Lab in Middleton, Wisconsin. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US.  Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

    The Clinical Research Group within Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Project Manager III with responsibility for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.  This individual also leads workshops at the site crafted to meet or exceed the key performance indicators such as revenue, EBITA, right-first-time (quality), and timely delivery.  This individual should be a strong leader with highly developed communication, organizational change, influencing, project management, and presentation skills.


    A Day in the Life:
    • Work with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables

    • Plan, execute, and lead business transformation projects

    • Define project tasks and required resources

    • Acquire and allocate project resources

    • Create and monitor project schedule

    • Track deliverables

    • Support and direct team

    • Monitor, Control, and report on project progress

    • Risk management and resolution

    • Stakeholder engagement and management

    • implement and manage change where necessary

    • Evaluate and assess project outcomes


    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

    Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 6+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

    • PMP certification, preferred

    • ProSci certification, preferred

    2 years in a highly regulated industry (Food and Drug, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.)

    3-5 years in project management leading cross-functional projects

    In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

    • Strong analytical capabilities with detail orientation

    • Excellent problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills
    • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
    • Proven organizational and negotiation skills
    • Extensive knowledge and proven leadership in project management
    • Understanding of basic budgeting and forecasting terms and definitions
    • Superior time management, planning, and organizational skills

    • Conflict resolution experience

    • Adaptability
    • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload
    • Ability to work effectively with multi-level teams
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced undefined environment
    • Strong client relationship management skills
