    DESCRIPTION:
    At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll join a dedicated team providing world-class scientific expertise and support to customers. As a Field Applications Scientist, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation. Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success.     REQUIREMENTS

    Education & Scientific Background:

    • Master's or Engineering degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry; or Associate Degree (Bac+2 equivalent) with 4+ years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience
    • Additional relevant certifications are a plus

    Technical Expertise:

    • Hands-on experience with qPCR technologies and applications (dPCR technologies and applications will be a plus)
    • Experience in data analysis, experimental design, and method development
    • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software

    Customer & Communication Skills:

    • Clear scientific and technical communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to adapt to different customer profiles and needs
    • Customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills
    • Experience in technical training, customer support, or troubleshooting is a plus; previous Field Application Scientist experience is not required

    Collaboration & Organization:

    • Comfortable working independently and across teams
    • Commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs
    • Effective organization, prioritization, and time management
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn

    Languages & Travel:

    • Fluent French and professional proficiency in English, written and spoken
    • Valid driver's license
    • Willingness to travel 50–75%
