Backend Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Design and build backend systems that are clean, testable, and efficient

• Ship customer-facing features as an engineer in one of our product teams

• Work closely with Deployment, go-to-market teams and our customers to bring them to life

• Turn repeated setup work into product improvements

• Bring care to testing, quality, and long-term maintainability

• Shape our engineering practices and technical culture

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3 to 5+ years as a backend engineer at a modern tech company

• High level of ownership and care for your work, with a track record to show for it

• You enjoy working with customers and can explain technical things to people who aren't engineers

• You take feedback quickly and turn it into growth

• Curiosity

• Kindness

Bonus if you've worked on AI features and how to evaluate them, or on product analytics.

Our current stack includes Node.js + TypeScript, Event Sourcing, Express, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, AWS. Experience with these is a plus, but not required. We are more excited about how you approach problems and find solutions.
