    DESCRIPTION:
    As a Compliance Specialist II, you'll ensure international trade operations comply with complex regulatory requirements while enabling our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll work collaboratively across functions to drive trade compliance excellence through policy implementation, transaction monitoring, and process improvements.

    You'll manage day-to-day import/export activities including classification, screening, licensing and documentation while providing guidance to internal teams. The role requires strong analytical skills to review complex regulations, resolve compliance issues, and identify process improvements. You'll maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and generate compliance metrics while building productive relationships with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations or related field
    • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or related field
    • Additional relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Trade Compliance Specialist)
    • Expert knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures and trade agreements
    • Strong understanding of product classification (HTS, ECCN) and licensing requirements
    • Proficiency with trade compliance systems and Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and global trade management software
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Experience conducting compliance audits and implementing corrective actions
    • Knowledge of regulatory agencies and ability to manage government relationships
    • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% as needed

    Compensation and Benefits

    The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $66,000.00–$88,000.00.
