    The Role

We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead high-impact engineering teams and shape the future of Fullscript’s platform. You’ll drive technical vision, scalability, and innovation, ensuring our technology empowers practitioners to provide better patient care.

As a strategic and hands-on leader, you’ll guide engineering teams, managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional products and infrastructure. Your role is to enable teams to move quickly, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure our systems scale to meet growing demand.

This role bridges the gap between infrastructure teams and product engineering, focusing on developer productivity, system reliability, and scalability

    What You'll Do
  1. Define and execute the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for multiple engineering teams.
  2. Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and impact.
  3. Ensure technical excellence by establishing best practices in engineering, security, and performance.
  4. Support platform growth while maintaining system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  5. Collaborate with executives to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
  6. Champion strong engineering practices, including managing technical debt, observability, and long-term maintainability
  7. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement, incorporating learnings from launches and retrospectives
  8. What You Bring
  9. Experience leading engineering teams that build customer-facing applications at scale
  10. Strong track record in growing and mentoring technical leaders and senior engineers
  11. Proven ability to drive collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data teams.
  12. The ability to own team outcomes end-to-end, balancing delivery, quality, and long-term technical health
  13. Broad technical fluency across your team’s domain, with the ability to engage in design discussions and guide technical decision-making
  14. Strong execution skills - you can forecast, communicate progress, manage risk, and adapt plans as needed
  15. What You Get
  16. Ability to work Wherever You Work Well*
  17. Flexible Paid Time Off program
  18. Fullscript’s RRSP match program
  19. Stock Options
  20. Custom benefits package (medical, dental, vision) with HSA
  21. Discount on Fullscript catalog of products for family & friends
  22. Training budget and company-wide learning initiatives
  23. Employee Wellness Programs (including no meeting Wednesday)
  24. *Our Wherever You Work Well philosophy means Fullscript teammates get to pick their own office - whether that’s in-office, at home, or a bit of both 🐶🏡
