The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing 1-3 high profile clients/partners in an account team environment with the primary focus on supporting the daily and strategic activities of a Solventum key business partner and their respective facilities as they stand today and continue to grow in number. This role will interact with both the Account Sales team and Strategic Sales team throughout the contracting process from pre-sales to post-sale, including direct interactions with the key stakeholders to further grow our partnership and expand Solventum’s footprint in Health Information Systems products and services. The SAM will be expected to be an expert in that client/partner, embedding themselves with the C-Suite and leadership team, proactively looking for growth opportunities within the organization and removing barriers inhibiting success. The ideal candidate will have hospital/healthcare system workflow knowledge, a working knowledge of the Health Information Systems product portfolio and the ability to function as an advocate for both the client/partner and HIS through their relationships.

Revenue and retention contract management – responsible for the management and execution of all contractual engagements for existing and new clients. This includes creating and driving completion of SOWs, discussing pricing, contract negotiation, coordinating integration calls and contract renewals. This is a non-sales, non-commissioned role.
Recognize at risk, contract and compliance issues
Proactively track and monitor current and past due invoices
Identify potential products/partnerships at risk and escalate to business leaders promptly to assist with resolution
Identify potential sales opportunities and engage with sales associates and/or leadership to engage (Sales rep, content leader, development leader, etc.)
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
Identify and grow opportunities within the mutual client territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of all appropriate contractual documentation, including but not limited to, pricing, amendments, scope of work, letters of representation, MOU, contract receipts, CMRs, etc.
Develop new business with existing and/or potential new targets
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results, annual forecasts)
Prepare and present status of current and future state contractual work efforts
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within mutual client targets
Handle invoice and contract questions or complaints, solve problems to ensure customer satisfaction
Coordinate with other departments and local account executives to ensure overall consistency and satisfaction in the sales process
Ability to receive, review and redact pertinent contract language specific for the delivery to the business partner vendor management teams
Reconcile contracted payments
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 5 years of combined healthcare software customer service and/or sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
OR
High School Diploma/GED AND 9 years of combined years of healthcare software customer service and/or sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive
Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce, Softrax)

Credentialed Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent work experience.

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
