We are seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to collaborate with cross-functional leaders and drive outcomes across the business. In addition to traditional finance responsibilities of developing budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly reports, this role will have significant involvement in new product analysis, data analytics, strategic projects, and company-wide planning. This position will report to the Finance Team Lead and collaborate with executives across all departments.

We are looking for a true thought leader. A successful candidate should be self-motivated, hands-on, act as a proactive business partner and demonstrate the leadership capacity to assume increasing responsibility over time. This role is fast-paced and will have a direct impact on the company's ability to make key business decisions and grow efficiently.

    Your day-to-day:
  1. Establish close cross-functional working relationships with business leaders to develop an understanding of their issues and needs; act as a liaison between these business leaders and executive management to drive attainment of business goals
  2. Support our product, engineering, marketing, and commercial sales teams with detailed custom financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market insights for prospective products and initiatives
  3. Analyze actual financial results vs budget/forecast and partner with business leaders to drive insightful and actionable decision support
  4. Support investor relations and corporate development activities, such as peer company benchmarking and evaluation of strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, and acquisition targets
  5. Own or contribute to forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and annual/long-range planning processes.
  6. Support the Accounting Team in month-end and quarter-end close processes and audit support
  7. What you’ll bring to the team:
  8. Experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, management consulting, or a high-growth company (experience in FinTech is a plus)
  9. 5+ years directly relatable work experience
  10. Strong leadership and communication skills
  11. Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling and technical skills
  12. Excellent analytical skills and mindset
  13. Proven ability to influence across functions and levels
  14. Enthusiasm to learn and evolve skillset over time
  15. Strong accounting and systems knowledge (experience using financial planning software is a plus)
  16. Strong data visualization skills and an ability to synthesize complicated analyses in simple ways
  17. What we're looking for in you:
  18. Data driven approach to analyze problems and drive actionable insights based on a strong understanding of consumer subscription or FinTech business models and the metrics that drive them (CAC, LTV, retention, cohort analysis, ARPU). Familiarity with consumer retail and hardware business models is a plus.
  19. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Not afraid to speak up when seeking answers to critical issues and comfortable presenting recommendations to executives.
  20. Business curiosity. Desire to understand how the business works and is comfortable asking the “why” behind the drivers/numbers.
  21. Strategic thinker with a strong ownership mentality. Ability to zoom out to the big picture, while staying detail oriented and committed to producing work at a high standard.
  22. Creative mindset for building bespoke financial models from scratch for a diverse set of cross-functional needs.
  23. Adaptability and flexibility. Startups require the ability to pivot when necessary.

  24. Not sure this one’s for you? Don’t count yourself out. Show us what you’ve got and we’ll reach out if there’s a great fit.

    Who we are:
It takes a talented team to aim for a mission like ours. We're looking for people who ask "is it bold enough?" People who bring their real selves to the table and push the people around them to do the same. We win by never hesitating to jump in, offer a hand, or share the credit, because we know we're stronger together than apart. And through all of it, the mission stays the thing we measure ourselves against: are we doing right by the families counting on us? If that sounds like your kind of team, we'd love for you to apply.
