About oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST)
oneRTX is focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity and performance. The oneRTX│PST project goals are to harmonize key business processes, associated tools and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S4 HANA and SAP Ariba. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities. The strategic design phase is coming to a conclusion, and the program is entering the initial build, test and support phases.
What You Will Do:
The oneRTX | PST Organizational Change Management (OCM) team provides a structured and scalable approach to managing change for our employees. The team develops and executes strategies for stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and sustainment to increase user readiness and mitigate risk, ensuring the successful adoption of new processes and systems. We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to create engaging, high-impact learning experiences for this major business transformation initiative that will help shape the future of our organization.
The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing engaging, user-centered learning experiences to support business transformation and the rollout of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba across the enterprise. This role will do initial design and provide governance for the creation of learning content to ensure it is accurate, engaging, and aligned with overall program objectives. The Learning Experience Designer will design end-to-end user learning journeys that blend virtual learning sessions, self-paced learning, and hands-on practice to support effective system adoption.
The Learning Experience Designer partners closely with the PST Learning Lead, third-party and offshore content developers, Business Unit content developers, Training Delivery Lead, WalkMe developers, change management professionals, and other subject matter experts.
Learning Experience Design & Development
Design end-to-end user learning journeys that blend virtual learning sessions, self-paced learning, and hands-on practice to support adoption of SAP S/4HANA, Ariba and related boundary systems.
Provide design oversight for the development of learning content, including virtual session materials, self-paced eLearning, simulations, WalkMe-enabled practice, and knowledge checks.
Apply adult learning principles and learning experience design best practices to create engaging, effective, and role-based learning experiences.
Ensure learning content is role-based and aligned with the Global Blueprint, with Business Unit specific variations developed based on documented business requirements.
Review learning materials for accuracy, clarity, usability, and alignment with program objectives.
Step in to develop or refine learning content when additional capacity or specialized expertise is required.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with the PST Learning Lead to align learning journeys and design activities with program milestones and deployment schedules.
Collaborate with third-party, offshore, and Business Unit content developers to ensure consistent design standards and quality across all learning assets.
Work with the Training Delivery team to ensure learning materials are delivery-ready and support effective facilitation.
Coordinate with WalkMe developers to align in-application guidance and hands-on practice with formal learning content.
Partner with Change Management Leads to ensure learning strategies address change impacts, adoption risks, and Business Unit readiness needs.
Collaborate with workstream and Business Unit subject matter experts from both third-party consulting partners and RTX to gather requirements, validate content, and ensure business accuracy.
Align with Change Management and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across Learning and Change Management activities.
Governance & Quality Assurance
Ensure learning content adheres to established governance standards for design, development, and approvals.
Ensure all learning deliverables meet branding, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
Maintain version control and documentation standards across all learning assets.
Track progress against learning design milestones and report status, risks, and dependencies to the PST Learning Lead and program leadership.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
Experience supporting learning design efforts in SAP Ariba.
Provide design leadership or governance across multiple workstreams.
Ability to travel approximately 25%+
Qualifications We Prefer:
Demonstrated experience leading learning design efforts for large-scale ERP implementations, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
Proven experience designing self-paced eLearning, virtual instructor-led learning, and hands-on practice experiences, including simulations and knowledge checks.
Experience working with digital adoption platforms (e.g., WalkMe, SAP Enable Now)
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, learning experience design methodologies, and performance-based learning approaches.
Proficiency with eLearning and multimedia authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate.
Experience working with matrixed or distributed teams, including third-party, offshore, and Business Unit based content developers.
Work Location: Remote
This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
