Role Overview
As a Recruitment Lead at Mint Source, you'll work directly with our founders and own the quality of everything our recruitment team delivers. You'll lead a team of Recruitment Specialists running searches for international clients and agencies, review every candidate before they reach a client, sit in on the interviews that matter, and be the person the team turns to when a search gets hard. You'll keep one or two searches of your own so you stay close to the craft. Success looks like a team that hits its standards every week, hires that stay, and clients who hear from us before they have to ask. You're accountable for the team's performance, and you'll be the one answering for it.
What You'll Do
- Review and approve every candidate scorecard before it goes to a client, holding the team to a consistent standard
- Sit in on specialists' screening interviews, assess how they interview, and coach them on where to improve
- Join every client interview, share the recording and your notes with the specialist, and turn what you heard into feedback they can act on
- Run the weekly team scoreboard: sourcing volume, interviews, scorecard deadlines and closes per specialist, and act on the gaps
- Keep an eye on every open pipeline so no search drifts, and step in early when one stalls
- Give clients regular updates on their open roles, full-suite and recruitment-only alike, until the offer is signed, then hand over to the People Lead
- Spot further hiring needs with existing clients and raise them
- Run one or two searches of your own end to end, from sourcing to accepted offer
- Once you're up to speed, allocate searches across the team as roles open, balancing load and fit
- Train new recruiters on the Mint Source process, keep the recruitment SOPs current, and propose better ways of working with the founders
- Flag performance issues early and clearly, and recommend action when standards are not being met
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in an agency or high-growth environment, with time spent leading, coaching or mentoring other recruiters a strong plus
- Either you have led recruiters before, or you're a strong senior recruiter with a track record ready to step up. Both are welcome, and we'll talk openly about which you are
- A sharp interviewer and assessor: you can tell a good candidate from a well-rehearsed one, and you can explain why
- You give direct, specific feedback and people get better because of it
- Comfortable in front of clients: clear written updates, calm on calls, honest when a search is behind
- Demonstrated success recruiting across diverse functions (marketing, sales, creative, operations)
- Highly organized: deadlines, pipelines and documentation stay under control across several searches at once
- Familiarity with BambooHR, LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, Calendly, Fireflies and Claude
- Experience placing talent for agencies, ecommerce brands or B2B services companies (nice-to-have)
- Experience recruiting for remote-first or distributed teams (nice-to-have)
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Retention: the team's hires are still in seat at 90 days
- Quality control: every scorecard reviewed before it reaches a client, with a first batch out within 7–10 days of a search opening and a batch every week after
- Client interviews: attended, recorded and debriefed, every time
- Client communication: every open role gets a written update at least weekly
- Team performance: weekly scoreboard run on time, gaps addressed, and each specialist's trend improving
- 30/60/90: learn the process and shadow the founder in month one; own scorecard QA, the scoreboard and client updates in month two; full ownership of the team, allocation and client interviews by month three
What You Get
- Direct collaboration with the Mint Source founders, and real ownership of how the team works
- Autonomy to lead the team and shape the recruitment process
- Exposure to diverse industries, roles and clients across several countries
- A clear path to Recruitment Manager as the team grows
- Competitive base salary aligned with experience
- Commission on the roles you close yourself, and a quarterly performance bonus
