    Opportunity & Impact

The Commercial Counsel will play an integral role in supporting the legal function across Redox and becoming a trusted partner and advisor to all business segments. While this role will primarily be partnering with Redox's sales team to negotiate and close deals at pace with acceptable risk, it will also be responsible for supporting all teams in engaging with outside vendors. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to grow and expand their expertise across all corporate legal functions.

    Job Responsibilities:
  1. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (including customer facing and vendors).

  2. Document learnings to create a long term knowledge management system for future Redoxers.

  3. Participate in or manage the process to create efficiency in contracting, including self serve options for sales and other parts of Redox.

  4. Support the legal functions in other business areas as required, including compliance, customer success and employment matters.

  5. Required Skills & Experience:
  6. 5+ years of experience independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts

  7. Excellent legal writing skills, with the judgment to communicate complex terms clearly and concisely

  8. Sound judgment operating in ambiguity, comfortable making calls without a clear precedent

  9. Demonstrated ability to work and make decisions autonomously, operating within parameters set in partnership with leadership

  10. Strong ability to prioritize and focus effort on the highest impact work across a demanding caseload

  11. Confidence to ask questions and seek input, balanced with the self awareness to push your own limits

  12. Proven business acumen and commercial judgment

  13. Track record of building trusted relationships cross functionally and directly with customers

  14. Intellectual curiosity that drives you to solve problems, not just find answers

  15. Comfortable operating with urgency and pace in a fast moving environment

  16. Team oriented mindset, ready to pitch in wherever needed

  17. Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to drive efficiency in contract drafting, review, and knowledge management, as Redox is an AI forward company

  18. Who you'll be engaging with:
  19. Redox's sales team, as the primary partner for negotiating and closing deals

  20. The General Counsel, as this role's direct manager

  21. Compliance, customer success, and employment teams, for legal support across the business

  22. Nice to have in your background:
  23. Experience working directly with a sales team highly preferred
  24. SaaS background a plus, but not a requirement

  25. Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a serious plus, but not a requirement

  26. Specific Software Platform/Tools:

Required: Microsoft Word (redlining functions), Zoom

    Preferred: Salesforce, Linksquares, Claude
