Finance Transformation Senior Manager

As a Finance Transformation Senior Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing the global financial technology ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and data integrity across core platforms including ERP (NetSuite), Procure-to-Pay (Coupa, Navan), and Specialized Finance Tools (FloQast, Workday, Equity Edge, Salesforce, ZoneBilling, Papaya Global). The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the finance department and IT, bridging the gap to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive efficiencies within our financial operations. The person should also be generally familiar with modern GenAI technologies such as Claude Cowork, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and GenAI API.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Drive the evolution of the finance function by transitioning manual workflows into AI-augmented processes, specifically leveraging GenAI APIs and vibe coding (leveraging LLMs to generate functional code via natural language) to automate complex accounting tasks.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of, and act as lead in providing financial and accounting functional expertise for various accounting systems including NetSuite, Workday, Equity Edge, FloQast, Coupa, Navan, Salesforce, ZoneBilling, Papaya Global, and others as required.
• Take ownership of the Finance Transformation roadmap, working closely with cross-functional key stakeholders at all levels to establish transformation objectives and deliver ongoing communication around system implementations, upgrades and business transformation projects.
• Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into system enhancements and process improvements.
• Act as the primary point of contact between finance and IT teams, fostering effective communication and alignment on system upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Build GenAI powered finance and accounting automations to automate complex accounting and finance tasks.
• Develop and implement best practices for system usage, data integrity, and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory and internal audit requirements.
• Lead end-to-end system implementations and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
• Focus on initiatives that will enable reporting that includes management dashboards, metrics process improvements and enables complex problem solving.
• Design and provide training to finance users on system functionalities, new features, and enhancements. Lead internal finance 'AI literacy' initiatives, coaching the finance team on using Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and vibe coding techniques to enhance individual productivity.
• Assist in regular system audits and assessments to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in accounting systems and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

What Skills and Knowledge Should You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CISA) is a plus.
• Proven experience (7+years) in working with and/or managing and optimizing accounting systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Equity Edge, FloQast, Coupa, Navan, Salesforce, ZoneBilling, Papaya Global, etc., within a corporate finance environment.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience building or deploying GenAI-powered automations (e.g., custom GPTs, API-based agents, or automated reconciliation scripts) for accounting and finance automation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and controls, with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
• Experience in project management, including system implementations and upgrades.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across departments and at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving process improvements and system efficiencies.
