    • Lead, develop, and empower a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring clear role accountability, regular goal setting, and ongoing coaching to achieve a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Humana's values and the Leader Standard.
    • Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps for assigned Medicaid product lines, translating enterprise and line-of-business priorities into actionable initiatives with measurable outcomes.
    • Facilitate and ensure strong alignment across Agile Release Trains (ARTs), collaborating with Release Train Engineers, Solution Architects, and business owners to optimize end-to-end product delivery and remove impediments.
    • Champion the adoption and maturity of Agile and Lean Portfolio Management practices, including driving PI (Program Increment) planning, backlog refinement, and regular inspect-and-adapt workshops to accelerate value delivery.
    • Establish and oversee a robust validation framework across the Medicaid portfolio, ensuring business outcomes and value are aligned with strategy and integrated throughout the delivery lifecycle.
    • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and sequencing of product features and enablers, using objective data and value streams to inform investment decisions and maximize business value.
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on product performance metrics, member outcomes, and value realization, leveraging data to drive iterative improvement, transparency, and strategic course correction.
    • Represent the Medicaid product portfolio in enterprise forums, ensuring clear communication of strategy, value delivery, and resource needs to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
    • Proactively identify market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting Medicaid, translating insights into recommendations for product innovation and differentiation.
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by coaching team members on Lean-Agile mindset, providing feedback, and supporting development plans tailored to individual strengths and aspirations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and contractual requirements, collaborating with legal, compliance, and operations teams to mitigate risk and uphold member trust.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive product management experience.
    • Team Leadership: Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing Product Managers or Product Owners within a complex, matrixed organization, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of at least five (5) direct reports and drive stakeholder alignment and collaboration across functions.
    • Talent Development: Experience coaching and mentoring product management professionals.
    • Strategic Execution: Demonstrated track record of translating enterprise and/or Medicaid strategies into product roadmaps, with clear examples of launching or optimizing at least two major product lines resulting in measurable improvements (e.g., cost savings, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, or growth metrics).
    • Enterprise Representation: Experience presenting and advocating for product portfolios in at least two enterprise-level planning or prioritization forums, including creating documentation of impact or outcomes.
    • Agile & LPM Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), including direct involvement in at least one Agile transformation or adoption project.
    • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Evidence of exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including development of executive-level presentations, reports, or business cases.
    • Process Improvement: Experience leading at least one process improvement initiative within product management, with documented outcomes such as improved delivery speed, quality, or efficiency.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Education: Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
    • Agile Certification: Active SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager) or equivalent Agile certification (must be listed on resume).
    • Healthcare & Medicaid Experience: Minimum of 2 years of product management experience in Medicaid or healthcare, including responsibility for interpreting and applying regulatory and compliance requirements in product development or delivery.
    • Scaled Agile Leadership: Experience leading or participating in three or more Agile Release Train (ART) or Lean Portfolio Management practices at scale (multi-team or multi-portfolio), with examples of measurable business impact.
    • Transformation & Innovation: Documented experience managing three or more large-scale product transformation initiative (e.g., digital migration, end-to-end process redesign, new market entry), including description of challenges, innovations implemented, and results achieved.
    • Industry Insight: Demonstrated expertise in digital health, Medicaid industry trends, or emerging technologies (e.g., social determinants of health, telehealth, value-based care), including at least one presentation, publication, or project in the last two years.

    Additional Information

    • Workstyle: This is a remote position.
    • Travel: Travel requirement of up to 10%, with potential for out-of-state travel to support team engagement and strategic planning initiatives.
    • Direct Reports: Up to 5 associates.

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
