    Job Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain software applications in our suite of enterprise software products
  2. Work with product managers and designers to brainstorm bottom-up solutions to novel problems
  3. Collaborate with AI engineers to efficiently utilize commercial large language model (LLM) APIs
  4. Continuously improve the code quality, extensibility, scalability, and test coverage of software projects
  5. Make architecture and cloud-engineering decisions in conjunction with other engineers
  6. Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code stacks, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability tools
  7. Improve internal developer tools, workflows, and best practices to enhance team efficiency
  8. Provide consistent feedback to management regarding the quality of the team, the state of the tech stack, and relationships with stakeholders
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the entire application stack
  10. Mentor junior team members
  11. Participate in incident response and disaster recovery efforts
  12. Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support day-to-day activities

  14. Required Qualifications
  15. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  16. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer
  17. Comfortable working with Python in core application code
  18. Experience building modern, cloud-native applications using serverless technology (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, or similar)
  19. Interest in building enterprise software with deep customer empathy, taking pride in contributing to a world class end-to-end user experience
  20. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork and communication skills
  21. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
  22. Proficiency in using relevant AI Tools in the SLDC (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) coding, and/or API integrations
  23. Deep understanding of:

  24. Version control systems (Git)
  25. Relational databases and data modeling (Postgres preferred)
  26. Infrastructure as Code in AWS (CloudFormation, SAM)
  27. RESTful API design and documentation
  28. CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or similar
  29. Containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS)
  30. Enterprise-scale cloud engineering in AWS
  31. Modern software development lifecycle on an agile product team
  32. Preferred Qualifications
  33. Interest in team leadership and career growth
  34. Experience building applications on top of LLMs using commercial APIs
  35. Familiarity with Postgres, query optimization, and database indexing
  36. Exposure to data science tooling in Python (numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas)
  37. Experience with monitoring and observability across deployments and tenants
  38. Interest in application security and cloud security
