    About the Role

PushPress, at its core, is a technology company. We're building an elite engineering team that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and shipping impactful, cutting-edge solutions as we scale toward an AI-driven product ecosystem.

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform: a full-stack engineer who can ship product features and build the internal systems and tooling that let the rest of engineering move faster. Product Platform sits between product engineering and infrastructure. You'll build things like a webhook platform that powers dozens of customer-facing integrations, an internal changelog system, meaningful improvements to TypeScript build times, or CI/CD upgrades that cut iteration time in half. These systems look and feel like product work. They just happen to have engineers (and the product itself) as the customer.

This is not a traditional SRE or DevOps role. We're not hiring someone to own databases, Kubernetes, or the underlying cloud footprint. We are hiring a product engineer who has touched those things in service of building tools, platforms, and systems that make product engineering faster and better, and who wants to keep doing more of that.

We're especially interested in builders with a strong ownership mindset who are comfortable working across functions and think beyond traditional role boundaries. Experience shipping modern, intelligent products, including AI-powered or agentic systems, is a plus.

    What You'll Do
  1. Build and ship high-quality, scalable software across our core platform
  2. Build internal, product-shaped systems (e.g. webhooks, changelogs, eventing, feature flagging) that power customer-facing capabilities built by other teams
  3. Improve the tools, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines the rest of engineering relies on, reducing friction, speeding up iteration, and raising the quality bar
  4. Contribute to intelligent product capabilities that leverage data, automation, and AI-driven workflows
  5. Create internal APIs, libraries, and frameworks that make it easier for teams to ship reliable, intelligent systems
  6. Ship customer-facing product features and integrations when the work calls for it
  7. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
  8. Take ownership of systems and features from concept through production and iteration
  9. Help improve engineering standards, processes, and team culture as we scale
  10. What You'll Need
  11. 5 to 10 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems at scale
  12. Proficiency across the modern web stack, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React, and Next.js, with depth in backend development, databases, third-party integrations, frontend components, state management, performance optimization, and build tools
  13. Experience building engineer-facing systems such as developer tooling, internal platforms, build and CI/CD improvements, or backend services that power other product features. You don't need to have held a "platform" or "infra" title; you do need to have enjoyed this kind of work and shipped meaningful examples of it.
  14. Comfort reaching into the underlying stack (cloud, containers, IaC) when needed to support the tools and platforms you build, without needing to own that layer day-to-day
  15. Strong programming fundamentals: clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  16. Experience with integrations work, or building or contributing to intelligent, data-driven, or AI-enabled products, is a plus
  17. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues across the stack
  18. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team, build consensus, and influence technical decisions
  19. Optional: contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects
