Avantor is looking for an Electrical Field Service Engineer (f/m/d) to provide technical support on laboratory equipment including installation, preventative maintenance, repair and validation in a timely and efficient manner to our pharma customers based in Leinster (Ireland).

Working hours: Monday-Friday with daily hours being dependent on customer site location and workload (37,5 working hours/week in total)
The team
You will be part of the advanced engineering team currently consisting of 13 dedicated Associates. As a member of this team, you will join us in helping our customers maintain critical laboratory equipment in the best condition and thus accelerate scientific progress and discoveries.
What we’re looking for
Education: Minimum of ONC or HNC level or above in Electronics, Mechatronics or another relevant technical discipline or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience repairing industrial electronic equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Accredited calibration experience highly desirable
Demonstrate a strong background working in a field service or technical support role gained within a high value electrical capital equipment environment
Experience in a wide range of electrical and electronic sectors including pharmaceutical, medical and laboratory autoclaves, sterilisation systems, washer disinfectors, incubators and a range of laboratory equipment. However, we also consider candidates coming from other industries if they are open to be trained and bring solid electronics maintenance experience
Excellent communication and customer facing skills are a must
Interacts well with all associates, management, clients and suppliers
Flexibility regarding movement to different client sites
Technical writing skills
Knowledge in electronic measurement, science and statistics
IT Literate – competent with MS Office Suite, Lotus Notes, SAP C4C
Full clean driving licence

Proactively manage customer relations with emphasis on communication with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
You are responsible for the smooth delivery of the technical service product portfolio to the assigned customer base
Cross train all other members of the team in specific area of expertise
Deliver efficient after sales service to ensure consistent customer satisfaction
Respond in a timely and efficient manner to technical enquiries and resolves technical problems to the satisfaction of the customer
Consistently generate leads for sales and service revenue when out in the field
Proactively work with Service Manager with regard to any issues observed in the field
Able to investigate and identify faults and find solutions
In conjunction with Department Manager set your own goals and take ownership
