We’re looking for an experienced pre‑sales consulting lead to join our Donor Management software and services business on a fixed‑term, part‑time basis. This role will support our continued growth in Europe, working closely with customers and prospects across the non‑profit and education sectors to lead discovery, document requirements, design and present solutions. This role will also contribute to the mentoring and early development of new Solutions Consultants as they grow into the role.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, leading complex and strategic account‑level engagements.
Responsibilities
Provides client facing consultation in the support of Sales for Blackbaud products and services – specifically in the area of CRM / Donor Management solutions.
Performs audits of customer and prospect fundraising and marketing processes and architect solutions using a variety of product and services capabilities.
Leads discovery and presentation sessions with customers and prospects; hold C-level conversations with the ability to translate key pain points into solution opportunities.
Prepares detailed solution presentations & demonstrations for remote or in-person meetings with potential customers.
Interfaces with Blackbaud Business Development , Customer Success, and Professional Services teams to ensure customer and prospect requirements are met in scoping exercises and service delivery plans.
Answers technical and service delivery questions from potential customers.
Maintains and improves technical understanding of the Blackbaud product portfolio, as well as maintaining and enhancing technical demonstration environments, demonstration scripts, and playbooks.
Participates in thought leadership activities, including presentations at conferences and/or providing written articles for blogs or publications.
Provides functional and technical responses to client RFPs, RFIs and other direct requirements.
Provides input into product development, marketing, and customer success strategies.
Regular travel will be required, predominantly within the UK, but less frequently across Europe - and potentially to Blackbaud Inc sites in North America.
Attendance at the UK office is required - at least once a month, and potentially more often.
Requirements
Deep and proven experience with Blackbaud’s The Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud Integrated Payments, and SKY API’s is required – this will be vetted as part of the interview process.
Demonstrable experience of the Microsoft Power platform and its application to Blackbaud solutions and data is required.
Experience of Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud partner solutions is preferred.
Strong listening and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to ask effective need-development questions specific to Blackbaud solutions.
Ability to translate features into benefits by adapting presentation to specific client requirements and needs
Strong knowledge of the wider non-profit industry and CRM software.
Analytical with high attention to detail.
