    Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Electrical and Controls Engineer who has a desire to contribute to our clients’ success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of a Foth or US-Based Remote work from home location.

    Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical hardware and software design leadership for industrial projects
  2. Develop design packages for bid and construction
  3. Coordinate and execute design and programming of PLC/DCS, HMI, VFD and Servo Motion projects from hardware design and software integration through construction start-up
  4. Coordinate electrical engineering and lead design/CAD resources
  5. Provide hardware and software design for machine design projects in consumer products and general industrial markets
  6. Develop design packages
  7. Assist in the development project related documentation including schedules, specifications, and cost estimates
  8. Produce high quality project deliverables while working in a collaborative team environment
  9. Gather data and provide installation, start up, and troubleshooting support
  10. Work simultaneously on multiple project teams and client teams.
  11. Respond and support project and client requests for on-going controls troubleshooting, including ongoing support of production equipment (may include nights and weekends)
  12. Interface directly with client(s) on a daily basis to understand and respond to their needs
  13. Develop relationships and cultivate future work opportunities with clients and facilities as work is performed
  14. Required Qualifications:
  15. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a combination of two or four-year technology degree supplemented with equivalent technical training or experience
  16. 10+ years of relevant engineering/design experience with exposure to manufacturing environments, including troubleshooting complex projects and demonstrating proven experience in the following technical areas:
  17. Industrial Intelligent linear actuators and end effectors
  18. Integration of Machine Vision
  19. Rockwell Control Logix based PLC and FTView HMI hardware & Software
  20. Rockwell PowerFlex VFDs and Inverter duty motors
  21. Rockwell Kinetix Servo Drives and Motors
  22. Ethernet and Ethernet/IP Networking
  23. Electrical system design schematics and control panel layout design
  24. Developing construction and installation documentation
  25. Recent experience with the following:
  26. Sensing technologies and panel design/layout
  27. Producing engineering construction and bid packages in accordance with employer/client standards
  28. Flow control valves, damper actuators, P&IDs, loop configurations, DCS, thermocouples, level, flow, and temperature controls
  29. Preferred Qualifications:
  30. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 24 months of your start date
  31. Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 13849-1 & RIA 15.06) and risk assessments
  32. Preferred experience with the following:
  33. Robotics, Vision Systems, 3D Scanners
  34. AutoCad and AutoCad Electrical
  35. MES/Database programming (SQL, RS-SQL, MS Access)
  36. Experience with polymer extrusion and/or adhesive systems
  37. Siemens S7 & TIA Portal PLCs and HMIs
  38. Siemens or Schneider/Modicon PLCs
  39. Siemens, CH or Schneider HMIs
  40. Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C, C#, C++, XML
  41. Assembly Language Programming
  42. Packaging line integration, including; case packing, metal detection, palletizing, along with other packaging related equipment
