The Associate Director of Publications leads the strategic development in close collaboration with Disease Area Leads and operational execution of global publication plans, ensuring all activities maintain the highest standards of ethical compliance and audit readiness for the assigned DA. You will drive scientific impact by leveraging advanced analytics and digital innovation for assigned DA and take end to end ownership of assigned DA. Acting as a key cross-functional partner, you independently manage vendor relationships and represent the global publications team at strategic meetings for your assigned DA.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Partners with cross-functional teams to develop the pub plan for a DA.
Responsible for tracking timely documentation of all publications for assigned DA.
Leads operational execution of all publication activities within a DA.
Leads training activities of publication systems and processes.
Partner closely with team members, Compliance, and cross-functional stakeholders to establish and uphold ethical, transparent, and responsible publication practices. Responsible for the audits of pubs with escalation to the Director as appropriate for assigned DA. Collaborate enterprise-wide to harmonize processes, SOPs, trackers, and governance frameworks ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Drive publication metrics, including altmetrics, share-of-voice dashboards, and usage/citation tracking, to measure and communicate scientific impact. Innovate in data dissemination through digital channels, advanced analytics, and enhanced reporting capabilities for assigned DA.
Responsible for independently representing Global pubs at strategic meetings for assigned DA.
Manage and oversee vendor partnerships to ensure high-quality, efficient delivery for responsible DA publications.
Follow and stay abreast of updates to publication-related guidelines including but not limited to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), Good Publication Practice (GPP), CONSORT Guidelines, American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style, and Council of Biology Editors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine (MD. PhD, Pharm D, MS) preferred with 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry or relevant experience
