    As a Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and development of healthcare products while working with a cross-functional team of release train engineers, product owners, engineers, and testers. The Lead Product Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

    As a Lead Product Manager, you will define and drive product strategy across the claim’s domain, delivering solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and experience. You will operate at a strategic level- partnering with business, technology, and operational leaders to shape direction, prioritize the highest‑value opportunities, and guide execution across complex, regulated environments.

    This role owns the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from problem identification and roadmap development through delivery and optimization. You will balance competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and make informed tradeoffs that align near‑term delivery with long‑term enterprise goals. You will also lead and mentor Product Owners, ensuring consistent product thinking and strong execution across teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define and execute product strategy across the claims adjudication lifecycle.
    • Identify and prioritize initiatives that drive measurable business, operational, and customer outcomes.
    • Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, epics, and features aligned to enterprise objectives.
    • Lead product discovery to frame problems, validate opportunities, and shape solution direction.
    • Partner closely with technology teams to assess feasibility, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
    • Establish and communicate program objectives, ensuring alignment across delivery teams.
    • Guide and mentor Product Owners to support effective backlog management and execution.
    • Collaborate across Claims, Operations, Compliance, and peer Product Managers to drive cross‑domain outcomes.
    • Monitor performance of delivered capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 7 years of product management experience in large, complex, or regulated environments
    • Strong background in health insurance claims systems, operations, or industry standards
    • Experience working within scaled Agile frameworks
    • Proven ability to influence without authority and lead through collaboration
    • Comfort navigating ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
    • Demonstrated passion for solving complex problems and delivering meaningful outcomes

    Work-At-Home Requirements

    • At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
    • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
    • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
    • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
    • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

    Pay Range

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
