    Job Summary

    This Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, managing project deliverables, and ensuring client expectations are met throughout the engagement lifecycle. The role partners closely with internal teams and key stakeholders to coordinate project activities, provide strategic guidance, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet contractual and organizational standards. In addition to client management, the Account Manager drives business growth by identifying upsell opportunities, leading sales presentations and demonstrations, supporting proposal development, and cultivating prospective client relationships. This position also provides leadership and mentorship to team members, oversees staff performance and development, and plays an active role in hiring and developing future client partnership leaders. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, project leadership, communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on process improvement and client satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Relationship Management

    • Serves as primary and back-up contact for client engagements.
    • Maintains client relationships.
    • Participate in key stakeholder meetings.
    • Presents written/verbal status reports to clients.
    • Reviews and updates critical client documents on a regular basis

    Product and Subject Matter Expertise

    • Functions as subject matter expert on PPL’s products
    • Reinforces and sets client expectations regarding PPL’s product application model during implementation.
    • Serves as an internal consultant to other projects or practice areas.

    Project Management and Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Coordinates project requirements and client expectations among functional groups and with client
    • Creates and manages internal project work plans.
    • Ensuring the quality of work produced meets PPL and contractual standards.
    • Develop recommended solutions to mitigate or avoid risks.

    Business Development and Sales

    • Manages and coordinates proposal development research, financial analysis, writing, and production.
    • Identifies and act on opportunities for upselling to current clients.
    • Identifies and meets with prospective clients.
    • Record business development activities
    • Leads sales presentations and system demonstrations.

    Training and Program Oversight

    • Oversees contracted training programs and internal training sessions.

    People Leadership and Talent Development

    • Manages multiple staff while providing mentoring, advice, and guidance to direct reports.
    • Monitors staff performance and follows up on areas of deficiency.
    • Develops next set of client partnership leaders.
    • Making final decisions on staff hiring

    Requirements

    • Excellent client relationship management skills

    Qualifications:


    Education: Bachelor's degree or 9 years’ experience required; Master's degree preferred. Substantial professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.


    Experience: 7-9 years prior supervisory experience required; Demonstrated financial and business management experience required; Finance and accounting systems experience preferred; Knowledge of Medicaid programs and experience with state government required; Experience in long term care and disability services is a plus.

    Certifications: PMP a plus.


    Working Conditions:

    • Remote with occasional travel within the state of Florida.
    • Must reside in Florida.

    Compensation: $73,000 - $93,000

    This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
