We are seeking a Digital and Automation Technical Project Manager with experience in healthcare IT to help drive the adoption of innovative solutions across hospitals, health systems, and clinical networks. If you enjoy solving complex operational challenges and have a strong understanding of HIT systems, workflows, and compliance needs, this is the role for you.

    Position Overview:

The Digital and Automation Technical Project Lead plays a hands-on role supporting Enterprise Imaging, PACS, VNA, and cloud-based healthcare solutions across radiology, cardiology, pathology, and multi‑department imaging environments. This role is well suited to someone who has grown through a Field Service Representative (FSR) or technical specialist role and progressed into project leadership for complex imaging deployments.

Acting as both a technical lead and implementation project owner, this role bridges real-world clinical imaging workflows with scalable enterprise architectures. The focus is on ensuring imaging solutions are designed, deployed, and optimized reliably across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments—supporting long-term operational stability and customer adoption.

The role works closely with sales, delivery, product, and customer teams to translate Enterprise Imaging requirements into executable technical and clinical project plans, guiding customers from technical discovery through go‑live and stabilization.

    Key Responsibilities

Imaging Solution Design & Technical Leadership

    • Lead technical discovery and workflow assessments for radiology, cardiology, pathology PACS, Enterprise Imaging platforms, and VNA-based architectures
    • Translate clinical imaging workflows and IT constraints into scalable, supportable solution designs
    • Support pre-sales activities including architecture reviews, RFP/RFI responses, SOW input, and solution feasibility discussions
    • Provide practical guidance on on‑prem vs cloud vs hybrid imaging deployments, including performance, security, and operational considerations
    • Set realistic expectations around delivery scope, timelines, integrations, and dependencies

    Project Management & Implementation Responsibilities

    • Lead or support end-to-end implementation projects for PACS, EI, VNA, and digital imaging solutions
    • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, risks, and resource coordination across internal teams and customer stakeholders
    • Act as the primary technical and delivery contact during implementation, coordinating configuration, integrations, testing, migration, and go‑live
    • Leverage FSR-style practical knowledge to anticipate issues related to infrastructure, networking, storage, performance, and site readiness
    • Drive issue resolution, escalation, and risk mitigation to keep projects on track

    Customer & Internal Collaboration

    • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to imaging leadership, IT teams, and clinical stakeholders
    • Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to ensure deployment models reflect real-world imaging environments
    • Support post‑go‑live optimization, upgrades, and expansion opportunities across imaging departments
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation standards, imaging deployment playbooks, and best practices

    Qualifications & Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in enterprise imaging, PACS, VNA, or healthcare IT implementations, ideally evolving from an FSR, technical specialist, or systems role
    • Strong hands-on understanding of radiology, cardiology, and/or pathology imaging environments
    • Experience leading or supporting multi-site, multi‑department imaging projects
    • Proven knowledge of VNA architectures, study lifecycle management, and enterprise imaging strategies
    • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid healthcare deployments, including security, performance, and operational considerations
    • Strong practical understanding of integrations and standards relevant to imaging (e.g., DICOM, HL7; FHIR an asset)
    • Comfortable working with clinical imaging teams, hospital IT, and vendor engineering/support groups

What This Role Brings to the Team

This role ensures continuity from what is sold to what is delivered, reducing friction between pre‑sales promises and implementation realities. By combining technical pre‑sales expertise with strong project and implementation ownership, this position helps drive successful deployments, satisfied customers, and scalable growth.
