    yes. every kid. is seeking an experienced Public Affairs Manager to support our education advocacy and public policy efforts. This role works cross functionally with research, communications, government affairs, and digital teams to advance organizational priorities through research translation, messaging, media support, and digital engagement.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, the Public Affairs Manager will proactively identify and execute opportunities to elevate our mission through content development, polling insights, external communications, and special projects.

    This is an ideal role for a public affairs or research professional passionate about education policy, policy communications, and strategic messaging in a fast paced, mission driven environment.

    How You Will Contribute:
  1. Support the execution of public affairs and advocacy initiatives, including content development, coordination, and rollout
  2. Translate education research and polling data into clear, compelling summaries, graphics, blog posts, and briefing materials
  3. Assist with the preparation, launch, and promotion of research reports and policy insights
  4. Draft, edit, and proofread external facing content, including blogs, newsletters, reports, social media copy, and digital assets
  5. Manage and grow organizational social media presence across multiple platforms
  6. Support media relations efforts, including drafting press materials, background memos, talking points, and briefing documents
  7. Collaborate with communications and digital teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels
  8. Provide logistical and project management support for cross team public affairs initiatives
  9. Manage multiple concurrent projects while adapting to shifting priorities
  10. Participate in limited travel for team meetings or conferences, as needed
  11. What You Will Bring:
    • Strong alignment with yes. every kid.’s mission and vision for education policy

    • 5–7 years of experience in public affairs, advocacy, polling/research, government affairs, legislative work, political campaigns, or related fields

    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with close attention to detail

    • Experience managing social media for an advocacy organization, nonprofit, or campaign

    • Demonstrated ability to create visual or graphic materials for external audiences

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment

    • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

    • High level of professional judgment, discretion, and integrity

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment
