What you'll doViasat, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to manage our licensing and regulatory affairs program. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Global Licensing and will help oversee Viasat’s increasingly diverse global license portfolio, ensuring that we can successfully expand our network operations and the scope of services we provide.
The day-to-day- Program Oversight: Coordinate with Regional Regulatory teams to secure and maintain all necessary authorizations globally.
- Implementation and Compliance: Architect and oversee the licensing database and other tracking systems. Develop proactive workflows to address changing business requirements and planned network operations. Evaluate national licensing and reporting requirements in light of business plans.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison with internal business units with respect to licensing issues, with the ability to translate technical network plans into actionable national licensing strategies.
- Application Templates: Develop and refine template application materials and licensing precedents to streamline global submissions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in interactions with national regulators, ensuring timely approvals for new deployments.
What you'll need- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications licensing.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage simultaneous high-stakes projects and adapt to rapidly shifting corporate priorities, while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate fully, clearly, and effectively, both orally and in writing, with leadership and teammates, including on complex matters
- Willingness and ability to operate in a team environment.
- Mobility: Ability to travel up to 20%; this is a remote-eligible role.
