This is not a partnership management role. It’s a sales leadership role with a singular focus: infiltrate and influence the sales and account management teams at major health plans and channel partnerships. The VP will build trust, credibility, and rapport so that when a sales leader at one of these organizations is deciding which solution to champion, Progyny is the name they raise.
You’ll be the face of Progyny within these organizations, helping their teams understand the differentiated value we bring to their clients, and ensuring we’re positioned as the preferred partner over competitors and other vendor solutions.
What you’ll do…
Sales Influence & Relationship Building
Develop deep, trusted relationships with sales and account management leaders at designated health plans and partners.
Embed yourself in their teams to understand their goals, challenges, and client dynamics to position Progyny as the solution that helps them win.
Serve as the “go to” resource for sales enablement, competitive positioning, and client-specific strategy.
Strategic Positioning & Differentiation
Equip health plan teams with the tools, language, and confidence to advocate for Progyny in competitive scenarios.
Lead joint business planning conversations that elevate Progyny’s role in women’s health and care management.
Ensure Progyny is consistently “top of mind” when health plan teams are recommending solutions to their clients.
Executive Engagement & Commercial Strategy
Partner with internal leadership to align on sales strategy, messaging, and market priorities.
Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and product teams to develop compelling narratives and materials tailored to health plan audiences.
Track and report on influence metrics including how often we’re being raised, by whom, and in what context.
Drive incremental pipeline growth and increase close ratios within designated plans and partnerships
About you…
15+ years in healthcare sales, with a strong track record of influencing large payer organizations.
Deep understanding of health plan dynamics, sales cycles, and competitive landscapes.
Exceptional relationship building skills with the ability to earn trust and drive action.
Strategic mindset with a bias for execution and measurable impact.
Passion for transforming healthcare and elevating women’s health as a strategic priority.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $200,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
