This role is part of a dedicated team supporting the Operations Testing organization, with a focus on applications and automation initiatives for Pharmacy Benefit Testing. The Systems Analysis Advisor plays a critical role in delivering high-quality internal tools and solutions that enhance end-user experience, improve testing effectiveness, and support client confidence in Express Scripts Pharmacy Benefits. This position partners cross-functionally with business and Technology teams to define, design, and deliver solutions aligned to client-focused outcomes.
What you'll do to make a difference:
Lead and contribute to systems analysis initiatives of moderate to high complexity
Analyze, design, and document system solutions that meet business requirements
Define system scope, objectives, and detailed functional specifications
Partner with stakeholders to gather and validate business and technical requirements
Support application design, testing, and implementation activities
Evaluate and enhance existing system logic, processes, and documentation
Develop and recommend solutions considering system capabilities and constraints
Coordinate efforts across IT and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Provide technical guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC
Perform and support quality assurance and validation activities
Apply sound judgment, creativity, and problem-solving to deliver effective solutions
Advise functional stakeholders using strong business and technical acumen
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within Systems Analysis practices
Acts as a trusted partner to business and IT stakeholders
Supports delivery of reliable, scalable solutions that enhance Operations Testing capabilities
Contributes to improved client experience and confidence in Pharmacy Benefit offerings
Builds subject matter expertise in systems, processes, and pharmacy benefit testing
What you need to be successful:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
3+ years of relevant systems analysis or related experience
Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Strong collaboration skills across business and technology teams
Customer-focused mindset with commitment to quality outcomes
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to resolve conflicts and drive alignment across stakeholders
Systems analysis and full SDLC knowledge
SQL and database concepts with experience navigating backend systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
