    • Support audit readiness and financial improvement initiatives led by the Office of the Undersecretary of War, including documentation, testing, and corrective action plans
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including financial managers, system owners, and auditors, to strengthen internal controls and financial processes
    • Provide recommendations to enhance data governance, standardization, and compliance across Department of War financial operations

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Active Secret clearance or higher
    • Must be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area
    • Willing and able to work onsite three (3) days per week

    • Demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, financial reconciliation, and financial reporting
    • Proven understanding of budgetary-to-proprietary relationships within a federal general ledger framework
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail

    • Familiarity with enterprise-level financial system integrations and data standardization efforts
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
