    Role Overview:

    This position is for an experienced contracts professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in contracts administration and litigation. Oversees multiple contract negotiations for the organization and guides less experienced professionals on protecting business interests. Ensures implementation of significant improvements to processes to enhance department performance and effectiveness.

    What You Will Do:

    • Drafts, generates, interprets and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
    • Reviews solicitations and creates proposals, negotiates, and executes contracts.
    • Ensure proposal/contract review, approval, and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines. Directs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
    • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.
    • Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.
    • Draft and negotiate moderately complex contractual agreements, e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms Agreements.
    • Communicate contract policy and practice to internal business teams.
    • Prepare and administer routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
    • Prepare, organize, and maintain contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance
    • Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration; prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.
    • Conduct research to support contract audits.
    • Perform contract closeout activities.
    • Maintains historical legal and quality records.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Working knowledge of corporate policies and procedures and contracting concepts.  
    • Knowledge of Government contracting including FAR and DFAR. Ability to draft moderately complex contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.  Possess the ability to multi-task routine contract and proposal activities while responding to emerging requirement changes. Communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain internal and external customer relationships.
    • Experience with ERP systems; SAP expertise a strong consideration.
    • Experience with ITAR/EAR regulations also preferred.
    • NCMA certification a plus.

    The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
