One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Transportation Broker to join our growing team!

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Transportation Broker to lead growth within an assigned territory. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our trucking insurance portfolio by building strong retail agency partnerships, delivering a compelling value proposition, and generating high-quality submission flow. You will collaborate closely with internal partners and outside carrier underwriters to evaluate risk, manage a high-volume pipeline, and drive profitable premium growth. This is an opportunity for a results-oriented professional with strong trucking/transportation and workers' compensation insurance expertise and a passion for agent service to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and growing organization.

How You Will Contribute:  

• Achieve or exceed production goals for written policy and premium within your assigned territory.

• Build and strengthen retail agency partnerships through in-person meetings, phone outreach, and technology-enabled engagement.

• Solicit, place, and service trucking-related insurance accounts, driving high-quality submission flow.

• Manage a high-volume pipeline of accounts in a timely and accurate manner, from initial submission through bind.

• Work closely with internal partners and outside carrier Underwriters to quote accounts and move them from submission to bind status.

• Maintain accurate documentation and provide prompt, friendly service to retail agents throughout the placement process.

• Stay current on industry trends, carrier changes, and carrier appetites to best position accounts for placement.

• Develop long-term relationships with agents in your assigned territory to build and expand our retail agent network.

• Cross-sell products and services across the broader organization where opportunities arise.

• Contribute to overall revenue growth through additional initiatives and business priorities as needed.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Active P&C license, or ability to obtain one within 120 days.

Skills & Experience to be Successful: 

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance, with Trucking/Transportation or Workers' Compensation experience preferred.

• Proven ability to manage a submission or sales pipeline in a timely and accurate manner, with strong attention to detail.

• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Comfortable with cold-calling and proactive business development.

• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, carrier underwriters, and retail agency partners.

• Familiarity with evaluating and meeting the insurance needs of trucking and transportation businesses.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory.

Pay Range

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
