Interface Analyst - Junior
The Opportunity:
CACI is preparing for an exciting modernization effort with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This new program will be a transformational initiative that will reshape how the VA manages acquisition, contracting, and enterprise-wide data. As the VA moves toward a modern, secure, and integrated CMS environment, our team will play a pivotal role in delivering the technology, expertise, and innovative problem solving required to support the nation’s veterans.
CACI is building a team of experts who thrive in challenging modernization environments as this program calls for high-impact technical leaders, forward-thinking engineers and mission-focused professionals. We are currently hiring a junior-level Interface Analyst to join this dynamic team.
The Interface Analyst will support the development and testing of system integrations for a Federal enterprise acquisition system modernization, working with interface developers and senior analysts to document requirements, validate data mappings, and execute test scenarios. This role provides an opportunity to develop expertise in system integration, Federal acquisition processes, and enterprise interface development supporting 26,000+ users transitioning to a unified Appian-based platform.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Support requirements elicitation activities for interface development, documenting functional and technical specifications under guidance of senior analysts
- Assist with development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), data mappings, and interface design specifications
- Analyze source and target system data, identifying discrepancies and supporting data reconciliation activities
- Execute interface test scenarios and document test results, including transaction validation and error handling verification
- Monitor interface transactions, log defects, and work with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Support end-user training on interface functionality and coordinate with stakeholders on interface requirements
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Learn Federal acquisition business processes, financial system integrations, and Agile methodologies
Qualifications:
Required:
- US Citizen with ability to pass Tier 2 background investigation
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study
- 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related technical role
- Basic understanding of system integrations, APIs, or data exchange concepts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Desired:
- Experience with Federal government systems or processes
- Basic SQL knowledge or database querying experience
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with interface testing or system integration testing
- Knowledge of Federal acquisition or financial management systems
- Exposure to API technologies (REST, SOAP) or data formats (JSON, XML)
- Experience with test management or requirements tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns or middleware concepts

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
