    Regional EHS&S Manager, North America

    Develop and implement Environmental, Health, Safety and Security policies, procedures and programs across assigned regions while driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental and chemical security compliance and performance.  Lead multi-functional EHS teams across the region and communicate performance and improvement objectives to EHS, Supply Chain, and Commercial leadership.

    • Lead regional EHS Teams and provide guidance to Commercial, Supply Chain, Technology and Office Teams regarding EHS&S regulatory requirements along with internal policies procedures and programs while driving lower injury and EHS incident rates across the organization.

    • Provide business critical EHS support to the Commercial organization, including EHS&S support for customer requests, approval systems, and safe operation at customer sites.

    • Implement and track critical leading and lagging EHS&S metrics to identify and control EHS&S risk, implement and improve safe work practices, procedures and EHS&S risk controls, and continuously improve EHS&S performance for Commercial, Supply Chain, Technology and Office Teams.

    • Influence Supply Chain and Commercial leadership to engage in Safety improvement, drive correct behaviors throughout their organization and achieve EHS focused goals and objectives.

    • Lead and develop a team of regional field safety coordinators, plant safety professionals, managers, direct reports and global indirect team members, creating an invaluable EHS support service.

    • Support corporate governance of EHS&S, and particularly PSM program, to ensure continuous improvement for controlling EHS&S risk, meeting regulatory obligations, and ensuring that corrective actions are effective to prevent recurrence.

    • Oversee and maintain ISO 45001 and Responsible Care programs regionally to drive continuous improvement of EHS&S across the organization on a global basis and assure ongoing achievement of certification requirements.

    • Support Solenis M&A and integration activities for all EHS&S requirements. Develop, implement, and track risks / opportunities & resolution plans.

    Qualifications:

    • Education : Relevant BS or advanced degree in safety/environmental/engineering or related field required.

    • Experience: 10+ years of EHS&S experience with roles of increasing management responsibilities in chemical and multi-site environments.  Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental, and international standards.

    • Knowledge: EHS&S management system implementation, leadership skills and demonstrated aptitude to motivate others. 360° EHS&S knowledge of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics Environmental Programs, Chemical Security, Sustainability and Process Safety Management

    • Licenses & Certifications: Formal safety certification or license required where applicable.  Certified Safety Professional or equivalent preferred but not required.

    • Travel Requirements: 40% with peaks up to 60%

    • Direct reports: 10

    • Communication – Must be able to communicate written and verbal in a clear, concise and professional manner in local languages and English.

    • Regulatory – Must have extensive knowledge and skills with current and developing EHS&S regulations for all countries in the region.

    • Leadership – Must be a proven leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage employees.

    • Influence - Must be able to influence senior leaders of other functions to support, engage, and drive key EHS&S initiatives in their organizations.

    • Customer Interaction - Must be able to represent Solenis at customer engagements in a professional manner relative to EHS&S.

    • Process Engineering - Must be able to quickly understand a wide range of manufacturing and administrative processes in order to create and support sustainable EHS&S systems.

    • Practical EHS Implementation - Must be able to create effective and simple systems that enhance EHS&S and meet regulatory requirements.

    • Continuous Improvement - Demonstrate a mindset to drive Solenis to become a better, safer organization.

    • Change Management - Must be a highly agile and resilient character ready to adapt to constant organizational changes and drive EHS&S through entire Solenis organization.

    The expected compensation range for this position is between $123,690.00 and $181,412.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
