    The Opportunity

    The Benefits Partner – Leave Administration and Wellness Programs position adds value to Velera through the analysis, administration and communication of all employee Leaves and wellbeing programs. The Benefit Partner- Leave Administration and Wellness Programs will support, leave of absences, paid time off plans, wellbeing/wellness program, tuition reimbursement, leave administration programs, policies, and vendor relationship, and consults employees on benefits and leaves help tickets.

    A Day in the Life

    • Maintain employee leave and accommodation requests and ensure day to day operations for leave requests are accurate, timely, compliant, and ensuring high level of service to managers and employees.
    • Maintain employee leave of absence and wellbeing information in the HRIS system to ensure accurate data records are collected and maintained.
    • Perform biweekly data audits to review errors to ensure accurate data is collected for benefits.
    • Assists the Leaves and Wellbeing Manager and others on the Annual Benefit Renewal and Enrollment, and general support of the benefits team's annual enrollment.
    • Produce benefit and wellbeing reports for management on a regular basis, utilizing Excel, Word and other tools.
    • Tracks and oversees leave of absence cases and maintains documentation and accurate reporting to keep HR Business Partners and managers informed of leave dates and necessary details.
    • Assist employees with a wide variety of escalated benefits inquiries; Consults with internal and external parties as necessary to devise a solution to resolve the issues.
    • Oversee the administrative processes for Tuition reimbursements to ensure they are handled in an efficient, timely manner.
    • May created education or communications materials and present to small groups on wellbeing and deferred compensation enrollment.
    • Support annual processes and partnerships with vendors and brokers.
    • Will maintain and update well-being related information and policies on the company intranet and the external benefit site.
    • Keep abreast of time off plans, leave and wellbeing programs and practices; by staying current with changes through training, professional networks and governmental regulations.
    • Supports and administers the Benefits and Wellbeing Team in managing a variety of benefit, wellbeing and leave of absence programs and policies as requested including wellbeing program administration.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions and interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, visitors and vendors
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
       

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
    • 3 years experience in Benefits or 5+ years HR experience or combination of both.
    • 3+ years experience in leave of absence administration.
    • Strong understanding of Leaves compliance, including FMLA and ADA.
    • Workday experience preferred.
    • Proficient in Word and Excel, reporting, and auditing.
    • Certified in Leaves Management preferred.

    Pay Equity

    $60,500.00 - $77,100.00

    Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
