    Job Description Summary

    Under limited supervision, the Identity and Access Management System Engineer II architects, develops, documents, and provides support for MUSC's identity management system and related infrastructure services to include Shibboleth, LDAP, ADFS, two-factor authentication, privileged access management and account provisioning password management. In collaboration with MUSC enterprise departments campus-wide, this role automates application-provisioning workflows. This position may include data modeling and infrastructure development, including web services, user interfaces, and data migration.

      Additional Job Description

      Required Education/Skills/Work Experience:

      A high school diploma and six years directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree and four years directly related experience; or a Masters’ Degree and two years directly related experience in a related field. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service and communication skills required.

      Experience in at least two of the following areas required:

      • identity management
      • Active Directory, LDAP and SAML authentication systems
      • modern object-oriented programming languages such as C# or ASP.NET
      • web services and database management systems
      • Powershell
      • SQL
      • Entra ID
      • An understanding of programming practices and techniques and use of analysis and debugging tools required.
