We use salary records marked as verified on Remote Source for active job postings with pay in US dollars. Titles are grouped into related role families. Hiring locations vary by listing; a salary in US dollars can apply to a role outside the United States.
Each posting contributes the midpoint of its advertised pay range. For example, a $100,000 to $140,000 range contributes $120,000. When only a minimum is available, we use that amount. The median is the middle of those values, and the 25th to 75th percentiles show their middle 50%.
Figures are expressed per year. Hourly rates assume 2,080 hours a year; monthly rates are multiplied by 12. Actual hours and annual earnings can differ. Advertised amounts may include commission or other variable pay, and the sample does not consistently separate base pay from total compensation.
