    Position overview:

    Join our collaborative team as a Senior Manager of Data Analytics at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll guide data-driven decision making that helps improve health, environmental, and safety outcomes.

    In this key role, you'll lead strategic analytics initiatives across commercial operations, combining technical expertise with business insight to deliver actionable results.

    You'll develop and implement sophisticated data solutions while managing a team of analysts, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Working with cross-functional partners, you'll transform complex data into strategic recommendations that enhance operations, improve customer experience, and support business growth.

    This position offers the opportunity to advance data analytics while contributing to our mission of enabling customer success in scientific research and healthcare advances.


    Required Education & Experience:

    • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in data analytics, with 3+ years in leadership roles

    • Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages

    • Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau)

    • Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design

    • Expertise in ETL processes and data pipeline development

    • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing analytics strategies

    • Strong understanding of supply chain operations and logistics

    • Experience with predictive modeling and advanced analytics

    • Proven record of transforming complex data into actionable insights

    • Experience leading and mentoring analytics teams

    • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills

    • Ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels

    • Record of implementing improvement initiatives

    • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities

    • Business insight with focus on delivering measurable results

    • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment

    • Travel may be required up to 25%
