We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

    Job Summary

This hybrid role is responsible for driving new revenue, expanding data products adoption, and delivering best-in-class background screening and PRE Data solutions across Major and Small Markets within Business Services. The position combines outbound business development, inbound lead management, and data acquisition expertise while supporting operational accuracy and capturing critical sales and capture team records.

The role works collaboratively with Implementation, Client Success, PRE Data, Capture Teams, and Information Technology to ensure a seamless client experience from initial engagement through implementation. Enterprise-level opportunities will be strategically transitioned to the Enterprise Sales team while maintaining alignment and continuity.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Business Development & Revenue Growth

    • Drive new revenue through a combination of self-generated outbound prospecting and inbound lead conversion, including cold calling, marketing campaigns, preferred partnerships, and search platforms.
    • Establish and manage new client relationships exclusively, with a focus on small-to-mid market accounts and data-driven solutions.
    • Qualify inbound leads and route enterprise-level opportunities to the Enterprise Sales team, ensuring proper documentation and warm handoffs.
    • Present, negotiate, and close new business opportunities through contract execution and implementation, partnering with internal Cisive resources to ensure client expectations are met.

PRE Data & Data Acquisition Responsibilities

    • Support PRE Data solution positioning, including educating prospects and clients on data acquisition capabilities and compliance-driven insights.
    • Promote and drive adoption of Cisive’s Single Check System, articulating value propositions tailored to client workflows and risk profiles.
    • Collaborate with PRE Data and Capture Teams to ensure accurate data collection, record capture, and solution alignment during the sales cycle.
    • Identify opportunities to expand data usage within existing and new accounts by aligning client needs with Cisive’s data and screening capabilities.

    Market & Account Management

    • Manage and grow small market accounts, serving as both sales lead and primary point of contact through early lifecycle stages.
    • Maintain strong consultative relationships by understanding client hiring practices, compliance concerns, and growth objectives.
    • Ensure smooth transitions from sales to implementation and client success teams with clearly documented requirements and expectations.

    Sales Operations & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce.com, including pipeline activity, forecasting, lead status, capture team data, and client contact information.
    • Capture and document all relevant sales and data activity to ensure transparency and accessibility for senior management and cross-functional partners.
    • Promote a professional Cisive brand through prompt, thorough, and courteous interactions with prospects and clients.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Experience managing sales cycles longer than 6 months, including contract negotiation and implementation coordination.
    • Proven track record of over-quota attainment in prior sales or hybrid sales/data roles.
    • Strong consultative selling experience with the ability to align data-driven solutions to client needs.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage internal partnerships across sales, operations, data, and technology teams.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and motivational skills.
    • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in background screening, data services, or compliance-driven solutions.
    • Familiarity with data acquisition processes, record capture, or screening workflows.
    • Experience supporting small-to-mid market clients while collaborating on enterprise-level opportunities.
