OVERVIEW
The Associate Marketing Manager – Canada is responsible for bringing the Salomon Alpine brand to life across Canada by aligning regional marketing priorities with flawless execution. Reporting to the North America Marketing Manager, this role focuses heavily on the operational execution of trade marketing initiatives, consumer events, and regional sport & community programs.
While the North America Marketing Manager sets the overall strategy, the Associate Manager provides crucial local insights, trends, and feedback to inform and shape those plans. This is a highly execution-focused role requiring a dynamic individual who can manage in-store retail and trade presence, lead impactful event activations, and foster an authentic, freeride-focused local community of athletes, junior talent, and key opinion leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Marketing Activation & Execution
- Act as the primary executor for Canadian marketing plans, translating regional priorities into tangible consumer-facing activations and product launches.
- Support localized Canadian media relationships and regional outlets, coordinating product seeding, local content opportunities, and ad placement delivery as directed.
- Actively observe and report on Canadian market trends, consumer feedback, and competitive landscape to suggest and inform future marketing strategies led by the Marketing Manager.
2. Trade Marketing Excellence
- Lead the regional execution of trade marketing programs, ensuring high-impact visual merchandising, window displays, and premium in-store presence at key Canadian retail partners.
- Shop Pro Training: Organize and deliver engaging product and brand training content for shop pros to build brand advocacy and ensure accurate retail storytelling.
- Commercial Activation: Drive sell-through by aligning launch priorities with localized retail activations, supporting early-season sales through impactful field presence.
- Own and communicate local shop pro incentive activations (ie, Endvr platform)
- Manage and execute Canadian “Rep Rider” program in collaboration with key Sales Force leaders.
3. Events & Brand Activations
- Own the planning, logistics, and execution of local resort partnerships, putting product on snow to drive consumer trial and demand and activating in key epicenters.
- Coordinate and execute trade events, consumer activations, and high-energy launch events from concept through to teardown, ensuring high brand standards.
- Co-own production and management of the Quality Ski Time Film Tour and execution of other brand owned North American events.
4. Sport, Freeride & Community Marketing
- Talent Scouting & Management: Actively hunt for fresh local talent, managing day-to-day relationships with Canadian ambassadors, junior athletes, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with a heavy focus on the freeride community.
- Coordinate localized team needs, inclusive of product distribution, asset collection, and developing ROI models for local ambassadors.
- Cultivate strong, authentic relationships with local ski clubs, freeride organizations, and key regional resorts.
- Work with internal stakeholders to communicate key initiatives including ESS product and new product launches to Athletes and KOLs ensuring consistent external communication.
- Facilitate Athlete event production and involvement (ie, Local athlete shoots, conferences, and attendance at brand events)
5. Tracking and Reporting
- This role is responsible for tracking and managing local sports marketing budget

- Provide comprehensive reports on brand events, local athletes & ambassadors that can be utilized by internal and external stakeholders.
